Rosanna Wells; 75

Rosanna Kaye Wells, 75, passed away on December 04, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on December 13, 1949 to Clinard Fate and Adeline Adkins of Rockhouse, KY. She attended Hellier High School before graduating from the new Millard High School in 1968.

Rosanna married her husband of nearly 55 years, Tracy D. Wells, on December 23, 1970. After their wedding she left her lifetime Rockhouse home for Germany, where Tracy was stationed in the U.S. Army. She often talked about how scared she was boarding a plane for the first time and crying all the way to Europe. After Tracy’s military service ended, they moved back to Pike County before eventually moving to Detroit, Michigan where she once again had to adjust to cold weather. They returned to Kentucky a few years later where they would settle and remain, although she loved their other residence on the lake in Dandridge, TN and would spend time there in her later years.

Rosanna became of mother of her only child, Chad, in 1976. Once he started school, she attended beauty school before putting in her own shop and business. She eventually became a full-time homemaker and mother. She loved her family and friends and could always be counted on for comfort and caretaking of those around her. She cherished her parents, siblings, nephews, and nieces, and especially her grandchildren, whom she would brag about to anyone who would listen. She was a Christian and member of Glorybound Freewill Baptist Church for 18 years.

Rosanna is survived by her loving husband Tracy, who served as her constant caretaker over the past several years; one son, Chad (crystal) Wells of Richmond, KY; two grandchildren, Ethan Wells of Lexington, KY and Leah Wells of Morehead, KY; one brother, Ellis Adkins of Rockhouse, KY; three sisters, Launa Rowe of Marrowbone, KY, Patricia Hopkins of Cummins, GA, Tammy Sellards of Marrowbone, KY, and three nephews, James Ellis Adkins, Justin Sellards, and Logan Rowe.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 06, 2025, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call from 6- 10 PM. Services will begin at 7:00 PM with Brother Edgar Sanders and Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church ministers officiating. The funeral will be conducted Sunday, December, 7th from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
