Carolyn Sue Looney; 81

Carolyn Sue Looney, 81 of Elkhorn City, Ky passed away January 01, 2026 at Pikeville Medical Center. Carolyn was born January 20, 1944 in Beckley, WV to the late Walter Aulden and Lillian Elizabeth (Bailey) Martin. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Willie Ray Looney, one brother; Edward Martin and one sister; Patricia Ann Martin.

Carolyn is survived by two sons; Jon (Tiffany) Looney of Russell, Ky., William Ashley Looney of Elkhorn City, KY and one daughter; Dawn Elizabeth (Craig) McNew of Paintsville, KY. She is also survived by one sister; “Kay” Catherine Elizabeth Bowling and seven grand children; Katie Looney, Grant Wheeler, Kendall Looney, Clark Looney, Brody Little, Ashton Looney, and Jackson McNew.

Carolyn was a school teacher for the Pike County school system, a member of the Willowbrook Country Club.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Friend may call from 4 - 10 PM. Services will begin at 7:00 PM with Bob Werntz officiating.
