Mike Ryan; 63
Michael (Mike) Louis Ryan, age 63, passed away on December 1, 2025. He was born on March 31, 1962, in Indiana, and grew up in Williamston, where he graduated from Williamston High School in 1980. Shortly after graduation, Mike moved to Kentucky, the place he lovingly called home for the rest of his life.
On September 10, 1995, Mike married the love of his life, Beverly Marcum, and together they shared 30 years of devotion, partnership, and unwavering support.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Don Ryan; his mother, Phyllis Ratliff Gabbert; and his sister, Monica Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Marcum Ryan; his children, Britney (Rob) Richardson of Lexington, KY, Jeremy (Ashley) Miller of Nicholasville, KY, and Justin (Makala) Ryan of Elkhorn City, KY; and his cherished grandchildren, Jack and Millie Richardson, Autumn and Rhett Miller, and Otto Ryan. Mike also leaves behind his sister, Suzy (John) Barber of Michigan and his brother-in-law, Kevin Baker, also of Michigan.
A hardworking and talented man, Mike spent many years as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. His passion for motorcycles led him to build custom Harley Davidsons through his business, Mountain Motors Engineering. Known throughout the region as the “go-to” mechanic, Mike was always willing to help anyone who needed a hand or a wrench.
Mike’s love for the outdoors shaped much of his life. He enjoyed riding Harleys, 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, and dune buggies; hunting; gardening; and reading. Above all, he was a proud dad and “Popaw.” His grandchildren were the greatest joy of his life, and anyone who knew him knew the pride and love he carried for them.
Mike will be remembered for his generous heart, his mechanical talent, his laughter, and the countless ways he showed up for those he loved. His legacy lives on in his family, his craftsmanship, and the many people whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 5th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the original Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM from the chapel with Rev. William Richardson officiating.
