Sue Bartley, 84

Kestel Sue Bartley, 84 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 at her daughter’s home. Sue was a homemaker and a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ. She was born January 25, 1944 at Draffin, KY to the late Warren Leslie Rowe and Chloe Effel Looney Rowe. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Randall Bartley, Sr., son, Vernis Warren Bartley, sisters, Mary Francis “Pucho” Potter, Anita Rowe and Betty Lou Rowe and son in law, Hubert Dean Wright.

Sue is survived by a son, Paul Randall “P.J.” Bartley of Ashland, KY; two daughters, Chyrel Wright of Rogersville, TN and LaDonna (John) Epling of Elkhorn City, KY; nine grandchildren, Jamie Bartley, Holly Wright, Lindsey Bowery, Isaiah Epling, Caleb Epling, MaKyla Bentley, Elijah Epling, Kristin Hawyood and Hannah Hamilton; and eighteen great-grandchildren, Jackson Keene, Carter Epling, Cade Epling, Sawyer Bowery, Hadley Bowery, Alden Epling, Gracie Epling, Elleana Bentley, Estil “Steele” Bentley, IV, Tucker Hamilton, Payton Hamilton, Knox Hamilton, Khloe Haywood, Waylon Haywood, Jay Haywood, Jalie Haywood, Layla Ratliff, & Jameson Epling. Sue is also survived by two brothers, Gerald “Bebo” Rowe and Leslie “Bubby” Rowe both of Elkhorn City, KY.

Visitation will be after 6PM Friday, January 16, 2026 at the Elkhorn City Church of Christ with a service at 7PM. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11AM from the church with Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
