About Us

The Bailey Funeral Home was founded in 1968 in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, by Denver and Bonnie Bailey. Nearly six decades later, they continue to serve families alongside their daughter, Tiffany, and their grandson, Morgan, carrying forward a long-standing commitment to personal, family-focused care.

As a full-service funeral home, Bailey Funeral Home provides assistance with immediate arrangements, advance planning, and cremation services. Our approach centers on thoughtful care and careful attention to every detail. We recognize that grief affects everyone differently—whether this is your first experience with loss or one of many. During such an emotional and stressful time, guidance can be helpful, and our role is to support you without projecting our own views or expectations onto your family.

From the moment you enter our doors, our goal is to create a sense of comfort and reassurance. We work closely with families to honor each life in a way that reflects individual personality and values. Some families prefer to follow long-held traditions, while others wish to do something more unique. We encourage open communication so your wishes are fully understood and respected. Your peace of mind is always our priority.

Our team is professionally trained and deeply committed to ensuring that every family’s needs are addressed with care and respect, helping to ease the weight of loss whenever possible.

The Bailey's learned early on the importance of hard work and genuine service to the families who place their trust in them. They believe there is no greater responsibility—or privilege—than helping families remember and celebrate a life well lived. This belief has guided their work for six decades. You are always welcome to stop by to ask questions, talk through arrangements, or simply sit and share a cup of coffee.
