Stephen Michael Starnes, 46 of Prestonsburg, KY passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Mikey was a member of the Destination Community Church of Prestonsburg, KY and was pursuing a degree in nursing at Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

Mikey was born March 20, 1979 in Martin, KY to Darlene Raines Starnes of Prestonsburg, KY and the late Stephen Gregory Starnes. In addition to his father, Mikey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Imogene Conley Starnes and maternal grandparents, James and Jean Belcher Raines.

Besides his mother, Mikey is survived by his brother, Travis Daniel Starnes of Prestonsburg, KY and brother in heart, Aaron Ochoa of Lexington, KY.

Visitation will be from 1-2PM Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to begin at 2PM and officiated by Jacob Dickerson. Burial will follow at the Raines Cemetery, Breaks, VA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Destination Community Church in Prestonsburg.
