Roger Dale Thornsbury, 66 of Mouthcard, KY passed away Sunday, February 09, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital, Bristol, TN. He was a retired coal miner.

Roger was born February 4, 1959 in Grundy, VA to the late James David Thornsbury and Marie Perry Thornsbury. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Howard Thornsbury and Cleo Fife and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Laura Perry.

Roger is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jennifer Hunt Thornsbury of Mouthcard, KY; daughter, Cathy Jo Thornsbury and granddaughter, Olivia Lynn Wagner both of Cedar Bluff, VA. He is also survived by two brothers, James David (Nina) Thornsbury of Seaside, CA, and Stanley (Nadine) Thornsbury of Bristol, TN, and one sister, Diana Thornsbury Scott of Valdosta, GA; three nieces, Tennille Thornsbury (Chris) Perry of Bristol, VA, Lisa Marie (Kren) Thornsbury Corpuz of Seaside, CA and Kellie Marie (Ben) Owens Gibbs of Freeport, FL and two nephews, James David Thornsbury, III of Seaside, CA, and James Justin (Amanda) Owens of Southbridge, MA; and two great-nephews and three great-nieces.

Roger loved drag racing, he drove a '68 Chevelle for Blackburn Racing, riding side-by-sides, and spending time with family.
