Reford Skeens, Jr., 72 of Steele, KY passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his residence. Reford was a retire coal miner and a member of the Feds Creek Church of God.

Reford was born February 21, 1953 in Grundy, VA to the late James Reford Skeens and Thelma Potter Skeens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Skeens and Mose Skeens.

Reford is survived by his wife, Shirley Abshire Skeens of Steele, KY; a daughter, Lisa Dawn ( Dwayne) Smith of Steele, KY; and two grandchildren, Dalton (Destiny) Smith and Alexis Smith. He is also survived by two brothers, James (Rosie) Skeens and Tim (Judy) Skeens both of Steele, KY and a sister, Sheila "Tootsie" Blair of Steele, KY; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2PM from the Feds Creek Church of God with Mike Stacy officiating.
