Nettie Wallace, 77 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on June 8, 1947 and passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024 at the Landmark of Elkhorn. She was the daughter of Theodore and Iva Retzer Swiney who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Elkhorn City Church of Christ and a cook for the Pike County School System. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Samuel Wallace, a son; Christopher Wallace, sisters; Ella Bernice Swiney and Shelia Jones, granddaughter; Cassie Elizabeth Wallace, and a great grandson; Roy Ramey. Survivors are a daughter; Melissa Ratliff of Elkhorn City, sisters; Judy Hopkins of Elkhorn City and Carolyn Lee of Owensville, Ky., grandchildren; Michelle Clough, Casey Wallace, Brandon Wallace, & Blake Wallace, great-grandchildren; Savannah Clough, Aiden Clough, Zaden Ramey and Zoey Ramey. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, from 6:00-10:00 PM with a service at 7:00. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM with Steve Taylor and Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiney Cemetery on Conway Rd., Elkhorn City, Ky.
