Montie Gayle Hylton, 93 of Ashcamp, KY passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at her residence. Montie Gayle was a homemaker and a member of Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church. She was born April 03, 1933 in Praise, KY to the late James Garfield Fields and Eliza Jane Sykes Fields. In addition to her parents, Montie Gayle was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Hylton, seven brothers, Ronnie Gene, Carl, Victor, Foster Bill, Trimbal, Hansel and Jack Sherll Fields, and two sisters, Mary Lou Gilliam and Ferby Marie Fields.

Montie Gayle is survived by a son, Roger C. (Debra) Hylton of Ashcamp, KY; a daughter, Susie (Charlie) Howell of Ashcamp, KY; grandchildren, Cassandra (Kristian) Chester, Roger (Amber) Hylton and Dennis Ervin Hylton; and a sister, Nora Lee Owens of Lexington, KY.

Visitation will be after 6PM Sunday, June 28, 2026 at the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church with a service at 7PM. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 29, 2026 at 12PM from the church with Randy Standifur and others officiating. Burial will follow at Potter Cemetery, Elkhorn City, KY.
