Michael Lynn Childress, 62 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Thursday, August 01, 2024 at his residence. Michael was born September 09, 1961 in Detroit, MI to the late Wesley Blake Childers and Eleanor Ruth King Childress. In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Childers.

Michael is survived by his wife, Ginnie Ratliff Childress of Elkhorn City, KY; a son, Christopher (Megan) Childress of Pikeville, KY; a daughter, Sheena (Brandon) Wallace of Ashcamp, KY; four grandchildren, Michael Brody Wallace, Loren McKenzie Wallace, Savanah Lynn Wallace and Oliver Phipps; and great-granddaughter, Evaleigh Grace Wallace. Michael is also survived by a brother, Timothy (Sherry) Childress of Mulberry Grove, IL and a sister, Mary (Mike) Coleman of Elkhorn City, KY.

Visitation will be from 11:30AM-1PM Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the memorial service to begin at 1PM with Ryan McCoy officiating.
