Mary Madglene Collins Sanders, 81 of Ashcamp, Ky. was born on Jan. 18, 1944 in Weeksbury, Ky. and passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025. Mary was the daughter of Johnny Decoursie Collins and Elsie Faye Sanders Collins who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church, a former employee of the FBI and an administrative assistant for Pikeville College and Alice Lloyd College. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother; Eddie Collins and sisters; Betty Hall and Katie Newsome. She is survived by her husband; Edgar Sanders, a son; Stephen (Emely) Sanders of Ashcamp, Ky., daughters; Elizabeth Cornett (Tim Bartley) of Lexington, Ky., Lisa (Steve) Tveter of Lexington, Ky. and Deborah Sanders of Elkhorn City, Ky., a brother; Johnny Collins of Hazard, Ky., and 6 grandchildren; Alexandria Edwards( Jon Schuette-Fiance), Mason Sanders, Logan Sanders, Ava Cornett, Lillianna Sanders and Sawyer Sanders. Visitation will be after 6:00, Friday, Oct. 3, and Saturday, October 04, 2025 at the Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral service will be conducted from the church on Sunday, 11:00, Oct. 05, 2025 with Randy Standifur, Dale Senters, Johnny Swiney, Tracey Wells, Chad Wells and Eddie Street officiating. Burial will follow in the Edgar and Mary Sanders Cemetery at Sycamore, Ky.
