Loretta Moore Ruth, 91 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026 at her residence. Loretta was a registered nurse, a member of First Baptist Church, a long-time Sunday school teacher and choir member. Loretta was born December 02, 1934 in Borger, TX to the late S. A. Moore and Nettie Peterman Moore. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Lou Edwards and Sandra Daniels. Since her passing, her son John W. Ruth passed away June 5, 2026.

Loretta is survived by two sons, Steven J. Ruth of Elkhorn City, KY and J. Mitchell Ruth of Covington, KY; grandchildren, Samantha Ruth, Jaron Ruth, Diney Ruth, Calder Ruth and Max Ruth; and great-grandchildren, Penelope Ruth, Toren Ruth, Izzy Ruth and William Ruth. 

A Celebration of Life for both Loretta and John will be held Saturday, August 01, 2026 from 12-3PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Elkhorn City, KY.
