Loretta Gay Boyd, 78, of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Friday June 13, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center. Loretta was a homemaker and a member of the East End Freewill Baptist Church in Elkhorn City. Loretta was born June 17, 1946 to the late Cecil Swiney and Bunie Stalker Swiney. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; Estil Ray Swiney, Loyd Harold Swiney, and Clifford Swiney and one sister, Bertha Lewis.

Loretta is survived by her husband David Boyd of Elkhorn City, KY, one daughter; Teresa (Robbie) Boyd Ratliff of Elkhorn City, KY, one brother reared as a son; Cecil "Peanut" Swiney of Elkhorn City, KY, one grandson; Robert Daniel (Laura) Ratliff and one great grandson Tucker.

Visitation will be held Sat. June 14th and Sunday June 15th from 6:30 - 10:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held nightly at 7:00 PM with Roger Parsons, Terry Gibson, and Jim Ed Belcher officiating. The funeral will be conducted Monday, June 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery Draffin, KY.
