Kathern "Kat" Hackney, 77 of Belcher, KY passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Pikeville Medical Center. Kat was born June 03, 1948 at Belcher, KY to the late Ercil and Buelah Mullins Hackney. She is survived by two daughters: Ronda Carol Merritt of Elkhorn City, KY and Carnetta (Rob) Coleman of Knoxville, TN, two granddaughters; Terra Michelle (Daniel) Stewart and Emily Renee Coleman; one great-granddaughter; Alayna Stewart; and special friend Marietta Fleming.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 02, 2026 at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may call from 6 - 10 PM. Services will be held at 7:00 PM. The funeral will be held Tuesday, March 03 at 2:00 PM from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Annie E. Young Cemetery.
