Karen Morton, 78 of Talbott, Tn. was born on June 8, 1945 in Minnesota and passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 in Morristown, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Samuel and Katherine Margaret Savage Deschampe who preceded her in death. Karen was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Ervin Morton, a grandchild, Crystal Smith, and sisters, Roberta Grover and Teresa Coyle, half-sister, Penny Hendrickson. Survivors are daughters, Katherine (Paul) Smith of Talbott, Tn., and Ernestine (Robert) Castle of Elkhorn City, Ky., brother, Duane"Butch "(Mary) Deschampe of Grand Portage, Minnesota, half-brothers, Ben and Justin Deschampe both of Minnesota and a half- sister, Hope Deschampe also of Minnesota, grandchildren, Amanda (Steve) Epling and Amber (Derek) Harris, great-grandchildren, Myli Swiney, Sydni Sussan and Josi Epling. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 11, 2024 after 6:00 PM and a funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Jerry Overstreet officiating.
