Judith Joan Thompson, 75 of Pikeville, KY passed away Monday, March 03, 2025 at Pikeville Nursing & Rehab. Judith was a member of Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church.

She was born December 22, 1949 in Columbus, OH to the late Leo Richter and Helen Timberlake Richter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Thompson, a son, Craig Allen Atwell, brother, Ronald Harris and two sisters, Donna Rooks and Barbara Whatley.

Judith is survived by two sons, Daniel (Brittany) Webb of Steele, KY and Steve (Carol) Atwell of Raymond, OH; two daughters, Jody (Roger) Swiney of Elkhorn City, KY and Jennifer Atwell of Winchester, OH; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 6PM Thursday, March 06 and Friday, March 07, 2025 at Glory Bound Freewill Baptist Church with services nightly at 7PM. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 08, 2025 at 2PM from the church with Edgar Sanders, Dale Senters, Randy Standifur and Tracy Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Belcher-Swiney Cemetery, Center Creek, KY.
