Joyce McClanahan, 86 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Nov. 16, 1937 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away at home on Friday, May 17, 2024. She was the daughter of Arville and Lula Cantrell who preceded her in death. Joyce was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Walter "Harley" McClanahan, brothers; Kenneth, Arnold, Orville, Jr., Mack and Tice Cantrell, sisters; Shelby Potter, Easter Taylor and Lessie Garland. Survivors are sons; Cecil McClanahan, Victor (Teresa) McClanahan and Charles (Anna) McClanahan all of Elkhorn City, Ky., a brother; Willie of East Palestine, Ohio, grandchildren; Samatha Sanders, Angel Williams, Sheena Ratliff, Jacob McClanahan, Brandon Farmer, Tyler Blankenship, Chris Brown, Tyler Brown and Amanda Weir and a host of great-grandchildren. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 6:00-10:00 PM. with a service at 7:00. The funeral service will be on Monday, May 20, 2024, 2:30 PM from the chapel with Donnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Elkhorn City Cemetery.
