Johnny Damron, 77 of Ashcamp, KY was born on July 27, 1949 in Pike County, KY and passed away at Highland ARH Hospital in Prestonsburg, KY.  He was the son of Glen and Clearcy Jane Meadows Damron who preceded him in death.  He was a member of the Elkhorn City Church of God and a US Army Veteran. Survivors are his wife: Pamela Damron, a son: John (Angie ) Damron of Georgetown, KY, daughters: Jennifer (fiance, Phillip) Mullins of Athens, TN., Cynthia (Brad) Prater of Georgetown, KY, brothers: Clyde and Joe of Elkhorn City, KY and Frank of Indiana, sisters: Marietta Jean Damron Mowery, of Winchester, KY, Linda Hall of Ohio, Irene Birchfield of Johns sCreek, Mary Madgeline Riley of Regina, and Martha Pinson of North Carolina. Grandchildren: Makayla Mullins, Corey (Catherine) Damron, Tate Mullins, Kaitlyn Damron, Gage Prater and Aidan Prater, and great grandchild: Johnathan Lucas Damron. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: Glen Dale, Jessie Lee, and Moses Nelson. 

Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Oct. 26 , 2026 from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026 at 2:00 from the chapel with Scottie Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, KY, DAV Chapter 140 will be having a graveside service.
