John Paul Johnson, 81 of Pikeville, KY passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Pikeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. John was born July 19, 1944 in Pikeville, KY to the late Martin and Pattie Scott Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Carlotta Scott Johnson, one daughter; Rebecca Viers, one brother; Edgar Johnson, and two sisters; Delores Bullock and Barbara Thacker. He is survived by one son; Mark (Gloria) Johnson of Pikeville, KY and one daughter; Alberta (Eddie) Del Rosario of Lima, Ohio. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; Jason Kinder and Heather Acebedo and 2 great grandchildren: Dylan Boyd and Braylan Boyd.  

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Grace Fellowship Church, Pikeville, KY. Friends may call after 6:00 PM. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 am from Grace Fellowship. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery 31, Stonecoal, KY.
