Joe Bart Looney, 91 of Elkhorn City, KY passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was born August 23, 1932 in Elkhorn City, KY to the late Herbert Looney and Elvira Owens Looney. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by step-mother, Mary Looney, brothers, Woorley, Ordie, Dewey, Harlow Estill, and Emmitt Looney and sisters, June Justice, Emma Jean Thacker and Gypsy Looney.

Joe is survived by his wife, Helen McCoy Looney of Elkhorn City, KY; sons, Tony Looney of Mt. Sterling, KY and Jeff Looney of Elkhorn City, KY; and grandsons, Jared and Jacob Looney.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 6-10PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11AM from the chapel with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin, KY.
