James Blackburn, 56 of Lick Creek, Ky. was born on Nov. 4, 1968 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 in the Pikeville Medical Center. He was the son of Robert Lee Blackburn and Earmel Lou Hylton Blackburn who preceded him in death. James was a coal truck drive and a member of the Lick Creek Holiness Church. He is survived by brothers; Kimmy Lee Blackburn and William Gilbert Blackburn both of Lick Creek, Ky. and Brian Keith Blackburn of Mouthcard. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-10:00 PM on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 and from 8:00 Am-10:00 PM on Tuesday. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2025, 2:00 from the chapel. Rick Fuller, Rick Sayers and Chris Abshire will officiate. Burial will follow in the Annie Young Cemetery in Pikeville, Ky.
