Ervil Howard Long, 91 of New Port Richey, Fl passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. Ervil was born March 13, 1934 in Elkhorn City, KY to the late Orbin and Verna Long (Bentley). He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, an avid aircraft pilot, and lover of cars and baseball. In addition to his parents, Ervil was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Long, Wayne Long, Andrew Long, Arthur Lee Long and grandson, Jason Munoz.

Ervil is survived by five children, Linda Crist of Victoria, TX; Tony Long of Elkhorn City, KY; Dale Long of St. Charles, MO; Deborah Hughes of Victoria, TX; Angie Johnston of Spring Hill, TN; grandchildren, Naani King, Jacob Munoz, Tony Long, Wade Long, Jeromy Long, Daniel Long, Amanda Holt, Erin Long, Priscilla Hughes, Travis Hughes, Elijah Johnston, Micah Johnston, and Salem Johnston; seven great-grandchildren, Candeanna Long, Cody Long, Jake Munoz, Brihanna Long, Alba Emig, Aurora Lazzaro, Sebastian Lazzaro and Parker Hughes.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11AM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Randy Bentley officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Air Force Honor Guard.
