Erma Darnell, 94 of Mouthcard, Ky. was born on June 7, 1932 in Ashland, Ky. and passed away at home on Oct. 9, 2026.  She was a member of the Mt View Church of Christ and a homemaker.  She was the daughter of Donald Humphrey Daniel and Julia Sloan Daniel who preceded her in death.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Lloyd Darnell, a son; Randall Lloyd Darnell brothers; Roscoe Edward Daniel and Donald Humphrey Daniel, Jr., sisters; Ruth Briggs and Cloteen Vanderpool. Survivors are her daughter; Janice Gale Murphy of Mouthcard, Ky., sister; Donna Ritter of Bennett, NC, grandchildren; Shawna Dotson, Richard Murphy, Brandon Darnell and Devon Black, great grandchildren; Taylor Chaney, Tatiana Murphy, Raiden Murphy, Triston Dotson, Chandler Dotson, Ashton Dotson, Avery Black, Lloyd Darnell and Harrison Darnell, great great grandchildren; Abel Caney, Iris Chaney and Naomi Chaney, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  Visitation will be at the Mt. View Church of Christ at Mouthcard  on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026 after 3:00.  Funeral services will be on Monday, Oct. 11, 2026, 2:00 PM with Steve Cantrell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, Ky.
