Donald (Donnie) Ralph Powell, 74 of Breaks, VA, passed from this life Sunday, February 11, 2024. Donnie was born January 03, 1950, to the late Mirul Hassel Powell and Elma "Wright" Powell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Marsha Kay Powell and Elizabeth Frances Powell; grandson-in-law, Ernest Campbell.

Donnie is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Sandra Kay "Hall" Powell; adoring daughters, Antoinette (Kim) Justice, Camille (Bruce) Saylor, and Mia (Bryan) Benedetti; grandchildren, Christin Hope Justice Campbell, Chase Alexander Justice Austin Blake (Shyanna) Justice, Ashley Brooke Saylor, and Apollos Matthew Benedetti; one great-grandson, Walker Blake Justice; brothers, Danny Powell, Ronnie Powell, Bruce Powell; sisters, Adabelle Rychtarik, Mary Wagner; his cherished four-legged children, his cat, Scooter and his dog, Russ; along with a loving host of family and friends.

Donnie was just plain fun. His jokes were plentiful and bold. His sensitivity was deep. His heart and his words were golden. Donnie was a devoted friend. He was a generous man to those in need. He was the lifelong love of his wife, Sandra. He was an amazing father to his daughters and a father figure to many. Most of all, he was an adoring grandfather and great-grandfather. It was his family's love that gave him inspiration, joy, and abiding happiness.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 09, 2024 from 5-9PM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel.
