Clifford Darnell, 68 of Steele, KY passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at Pikeville Medical Center. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Feds Creek Baptist Church. Clifford was born April 11, 1958 in Grundy, VA to the late Theodore Darnell and May Booker Darnell. In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonne Darnell. 

Clifford is survived by his wife, Alliene Summa Darnell of Steele, KY; two daughters, Jessica Darnell of Feds Creek, KY and Alexandria (Jared) Sullivan of Maryville, TN; three grandchildren, Charlie Darnell, Peyton Sullivan and Olivia Sullivan. He is also survived by two brothers, Steven (Brigetta) Darnell of TN and Richard (Jackie) Darnell of Feds Creek, KY and two sisters, Debbie Craft and Kara Darnell both of Feds Creek, KY. 

Visitation will be held Friday, August 28, 2026 from 10:30-11AM at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral beginning at 11AM with Jacob Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Annie E Young Cemetery, Pikeville, KY.
