Carolyn Sue Allen, 76 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Feb. 11, 1948 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the Pikeville Medical Center. She was the daughter of Clinard and Flora Rowe Kendrick who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers; Tommy, Curtis, James and Elmer and sisters; Margaret Coleman and Jean Henson. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a teacher in the Pike County School System for 25 years. She is survived by her husband; Carl "Carbide" Allen having been married for 51 years, a son; Christopher Carl (Ginger) Allen of Pikeville, Ky. , grandchildren; Bethany Allen and Tomie Allen and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024 with a service at 7:00 and a funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 10, 2024, 11:00 AM with Billy Ford and Jim Ed Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
