Burbon Dean Thacker, 68 of Steele, Ky. was born on May 11, 1957 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away at home on June 16, 2025. He was the son of Tom Ferrell and Daisy Thacker Thacker who have preceded him in death. He was a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters; Opal Thacker, Sandy Shortridge and Daisy Slone. Burbon is survived by his wife; Denise Thacker, sons; Burbon Dwayne Thacker of Steele, Ky. and Scottie Dean Thacker of Hellier, Ky., a brother; Tom Thacker, Jr. of Pikeville, Ky. sisters; Zola Thacker of Pompey, Ky., and Karen Pinion of Hurricane, Ky. and a granddaughter; Kylie Jo Denise Thacker. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 6:00-10: 00PM and on Saturday from 8:00AM-10:00 PM. There will be a Masonic service on Friday at 6:00. Services will also be conducted by Kevin Thacker on Friday and Saturday at 7:00 and Nick Blair will have the service on Sunday on Sunday, 2:00, June 22, 2025. Burial will follow in the Blair Cemetery at Steele, Ky.
