Bobby Childers, 78 of Arab, Alabama was born on May 12, 1946 in Arab, Alabama and passed away on June 15, 2024 after a brief illness. He was the son of Buron King Childers and Ovalee Chandler Childers who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Buron Leon Childers. Survivors are his wife; Patricia Ann Stapleton Childers, sister-in-law, Janie Ratliff, brother-in-law; Eddie Ratliff, sister-in-law; Diane Pigg and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Bobby was a assemblyman for General Motors. Visitation will be in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-10:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 2:00 from the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie Young Cemetery in Pikeville, Ky.
