Billy Gene Thompson, 58 of Big Rock, Va. was born on May 26, 1967 and passed away at homes on Tuesday Nov. 11, 2025. He was the son of Peggy Sue Kinder Thompson of Big Rock, Va. and the late Billy Gene Thompson, Sr. He was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ and a coal miner. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister; Cheryl Thompson. Survivors are his mother; Peggy Sue Thompson , a sister Donna Sue Thompson Darnell of Big Rock, V., nephews; Ethan (Hope) Darnell and Jason Darnell, nieces; Anna Darnell and Kimberly (Janie) Skeens and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be after 6:00 PM, November 15, 2025 at the Mt. View Church of Christ. The funeral service will be at the church on Sunday, 1:00 with Steve Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramey Cemetery at Conaway, Va.
